Now your phone can walk you home. There’s a new app called Companion that lets your friends and family track your movements (when you want them too, of course). But what sets this app apart from similar ones out there is something called the “Are You OK?” button.

Before leaving, users input their starting point, their destination and a designated “companion.”

The companion can track the phone’s GPS to see where their loved one is at any time, and the app will periodically show a button on the user's home screen asking “Are you OK?”

If the user don't press the button within 15 seconds, the companion is sent an alert. (Daily Mail)
