Why Are Montana Girls Wearing Pajamas to Prom?

Something I noticed this year while I DJ'd many Western Montana proms this season...

Lots of great sparkly dresses, and then...a few of these...

Here's your odd new head scratcher of the week, girls wearing boys PJ's to their prom. Even "Teen Vogue" is saying that this is the new trend this season.

Yup. I saw it a couple times at the proms I was at this year... Instead of something flashy or fancy, they are ditching the formal attire and just straight up LOUNGIN' with baggy shirts and pants. 

"Teen Vogue" says it's basically a new approach to "gender bending", "being rebellious", and to rock the runway in "sleepwear inspired" looks...

Well, if they say it's a trend, then it must be. Please, moms, will you please take your kid to the nearest Dillards of JC Penney next year?
