Walt Disney Pictures is reportedly developing a live-action 'Dumbo' movie to be based on its 1941 beloved animated classic. The studio is looking to repeat the same success they had with 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Maleficent.'

The Wrap reports that Ehren Kruger ('Transformers: Age of Extinction,' 'The Ring') is working on the script. Kruger will reportedly produce the film with Justin Springer.

The original 1941 feature told of an elephant named Jumbo Jr. who is constantly teased by other elephants for his big ears and given the nickname 'Dumbo.' When Dumbo's mother defends him from bullies, she is locked up, leaving Dumbo alone. His only friend is Timothy Q. Mouse and together, they learn of his unique ability to use his ears to fly in the air.

While the new movie will retain much of the original story of the animated film, a new story featuring a human family will reportedly be added as well. The live actors will be interacting with the animals with the help of modern CGI technology.

So what do you think, PopCrushers? Are you excited to see a 'Dumbo' live-action film?
