Each state in America is home to one invention worth bragging about. Well, unless you are Mississippi. There's is not really one worth bragging about in front of their friends.  

According to Yahoo, the greatest inventions from every state in America has been showcased....essentially spotlighting the most useful and clever stuff that was born in all 50 states.

Here's a few highlights:

  • Jet ski: Arizona
  • Cheeseburgers: Colorado
  • Air conditioning: Florida
  • TV: Idaho
  • Poker: Louisiana
  • Donuts: Maine
  • Toilet paper: New York
  • Diners: Rhode Island
  • Atari:Utah

Check out the most embarrassing ones, at least in our opinion::

  • Headgear: Wyoming
  • Segway: New Hampshire
  • ANTIFUNGAL CREAM: Mississippi

Another strange one, chairlifts were invented in Nebraska...not exactly the first place we think of when it comes to skiing.

As for Montana, we can proudly tout the fact that we were the inventors of....the modernized vacuum.

According to Yahoo:

A significant improvement on crude carpet-sweepers, John Thurman patented his “pneumatic carpet renovator,” was a gas-powered that blew dust into a receptacle in 1899.
