Thanksgiving Cost Up Slightly

The cost for a 10-person dinner on Thanksgiving is not as much as you would think. The 2015 cost, of course, is up as it is normally every year but not drastically.

The American Farm Bureau Federation estimates the total cost for a 10-person Thanksgiving dinner at $50.11. With the bird being the big cost, averaging about $25, then you are able to really get everything else for a simple Thanksgiving meal for the rest.  That is up $.70 from last year.

If you are like me, though, you spend a bit more than that on pies and meat, cheese and veggie trays. Still, it's good to hear it isn't cost-prohibitive to get together and give thanks.
