So I stated yesterday, I am an adventurer. I love traveling and taking road trips. When I do decide to hit the open road and crank out some tunes I like to stay off the interstates.

Back roads have so much more to offer as you can see in the pictures in this post. Taking back roads you will see small communities, beautiful scenery and you might at some point be worried about when you will find the next gas station. Also be advised that in between towns you probably won't have a cellphone signal. I guess that's living on the edge, but hey, there was a time when people didn't even have cellphones.

As the cab driver in "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" stated, "You don't see anything on the interstate but interstate." In this trip I found two very awesome roads. The first one I came across was just outside of Moab, Utah. The road is State Hwy 128, it connects U.S. Hwy 191 to Interstate 70 via a winding road running along side the Colorado River.

The second cool road I came across was around Boysen Peak, Wyoming. This road is just outside of Thermopolis; it's U.S. Hwy 20/State Hwy 789. Pictures from both are attached. You will benefit more from backroads in the West, than the East. However there are still beautiful scenic drives out East, too.

By the way, you probably might already know this, but you won't be experiencing much by taking the backroads in the central plains haha.
