Sonic Drive-In Shooting Update: Billings P.D. Press Conference

Billings Police Chief Rich St. John held a news conference at Noon today to fill the public in on details of this mornings “officer involved” shooting at Sonic Drive-in on Main St. in the Heights from which there have been no injuries. The still unidentified suspect is in custody. Traffic is still cut off in both directions along Main St. from Lake Elmo Drive to just past Albertsons as police continue to gather evidence. They hope to open the thoroughfare back to traffic as soon as possible but gave no indication as to when that would be and have asked the public to be patient.

St. John said the department would release more information no later than 10am tomorrow.
