Six workplaces in Montana are on Outside magazine's Best Places to Work in 2014.

Somehow Billings didn't get a business on the list? I am a bit surprised by that but the number one spot is pretty cool, owned by a Montana elementary school in Seeley Lake. Other Montana companies on the list are Missoula-based marketing agency PartnersCreative, Ecology Project International in Missoula, Mercury CSC and Foundant Technologies in Bozeman, and Flathead Beacon in Kalispell.

Now this is why Seeley Lake Elementary got the top honor, taken from Outside Magazine.

"Like any public school, Seeley Lake Elementary teaches basic academics to kids from pre-K through eighth grade. Unlike most, it practically requires them to get outside with active programs in Nordic skiing, hiking, biking, and canoeing. The school, just an hour from Missoula, is flanked by the peaks of the Rockies and bolstered by a lakeside alternative campus, so it’s not hard for staff to instill a love of the wilderness in their students.

Montana is so special, and really one of the best places in the world to live!
