It's been awhile since we heard anything on the 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' movie since 'The Mortal Instruments' star Lilly Collins was said to be up for the leading role, but now, more than a year after that piece of info dropped, comes a firmed-up cast.

Exit Lilly Collins, enter Lily James. According to Deadline, the actress, who will star next in the title role of Disney's 'Cinderella,' has been cast as Elizabeth Bennet, while fellow Disney Pictures actor Sam Riley (of 'Maleficent') has landed the role of Mr. Darcy. Elsewhere, Bella Heathcote of 'Don't Fade Away' and 'Dark Shadows' will portray Elizabeth's sister, and 'Boardwalk Empire' star Jack Huston is in talks for another role.

Burr Steers is directing 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' from a script he co-wrote with Oscar-nominated director David O. Russell ('Silver Linings Playbook,' 'American Hustle'). The film takes its title and storyline from the bestselling spoof mash-up novel by Seth Grahame-Smith -- it takes Jane Austin's classic tale and sets its characters against the "sorry stricken" zombies of 1813.

There've been so many director, writer and casting shakeups since the film was revealed that it's a wonder it's finally getting made. Then again, when Hollywood has the rights to adapt one of the most widely known and bestselling novels for the big screen, there's no letting such an opportunity slip through their fingers. Production is currently scheduled to start this September.
