Being a bridesmaid is tough business.

It's expensive and you often end up stuck in a dress of the bride's taste and choosing -- one you normally wouldn't have selected for yourself. You wear it once and it's exiled to a hanger -- maybe even a wire one at that -- in the back of your closet for the rest of its damned life.

Unless, of course, you're set to be one of actress Olivia Wilde's bridesmaids.

Because in preparation for her wedding to funnyman Jason Sudeikis, she's having fabulous designer Monique Lhuillier custom create not only her gown, but the ones for her attendants too.

Wilde covered InStyle's August issue and shared some details about her dress and the dresses of the friends who will flank her on her big day.

Olivia said she wants her bridesmaids to get multiple wears out of their gowns, thus avoiding "that tortured tradition of forcing them to wear a ridiculous dress they’ll never wear again."

"They’ll have a real creation tailored for each of them," she revealed. "They can dye it black or purple and wear it forever."

We already knew we loved her (who else could draw the ire of Beliebers and spin it into hilarity?), and this seals it.

But it's almost not fair.

While we languish in a tea-length, mint green frock that looks good on no one, all of her bridal buddies get to be like, "Oh, this dress? It's just a custom Monique Lhuillier that I wore when I was a member of Olivia Wilde's bridal party."
