With smokey conditions in some parts of Montana and multiple fires, one has to think it is getting expensive to combat this.

We just learned that there are actually fire in Montana that aren't even being attended to because they pose no real threat, sue to lack of man power. The U.S. Forest Service spent more than half of its 2015 budget, and the season is not over yet. "We're seeing fire season longer than it's ever been before," said U.S. Sen. Jon Tester. "Hot summers and those firefighting costs have been driven up."

The Forest Service will likely move money from separate funds to accommodate the firefighting cost. This just means other programs won't get funded.
