During a cold day in Montana . . . which is almost half the year in Montana . . . you just can't beat cuddling up with a sweet lady named "Whiskey." Sadly, it's going to cost you.

A new study found that Montana is one of the most expensive places to purchase whiskey in the United States. A fifth of Jack Daniel's will run you around $27 at a normal liquor store in Montana . . . that's about 2 times as much compared to other states.

You'd have to travel to New Mexico for the least expensive whiskey, about $16.

We aren't alone. The five other states with the most expensive whiskey are Alaska . . . West Virginia . . . Hawaii . . . Massachusetts . . . and Iowa.

The five states with the cheapest whiskey are New Mexico . . . Arizona . . . Florida . . . Texas . . . and California.

Interestingly enough, Jack Daniel's main distillery is located in Tennessee, and that's only the 34th cheapest place to buy it . . . a bottle costs roughly $25 there.
