Nine unconfirmed cases in Montana have been sent to the Centers for Disease Control for further testing. The first confirmed case was from right here in Yellowstone County and though no other case have been confirmed they are suspecting multiple cases will be. Enteroviruses are fairly common during the summer and fall months with symptoms often mimicking the common cold. This particular strain, Enterovirus 68, is causing children with prior respiratory conditions to suffer serious further medical complications.

So parents just another reminder to keep a close on your kids, if you suffer from asthma keep a close on yourself as well. If you have any concerns you can call the Yellowstone County Health Department.
