I think creative punishment is a great option for parents to explore as long as it isn't too extreme as no child punishment should be, taking away what a child really wants is a good way to do get through to them though. This mom had a creative way of punishing her child.

A mother in Fargo, ND decided to take matters into her own hands with her daughter who wasn't acting right. "Daughter is a spoiled brat and doesn't deserve these tickets," Cindy Bjerke wrote in a post on the Fargo Online Garage Sale Facebook page offering the tickets to the August 23 show at the Fargodome.

“I was not going to give her the tickets," Bjerke told the local radio station, without identifying her daughter or what she was being punished for. " I was not going to let her go to this concert with this behavior that she's been doing.

Many parents are upset that she went online and did this in public, although she never mentioned what her daughter did or how she acted just that she didn't deserve to be going. Some parents have done different ways of punishing their kids then the standard grounding and spanking. It may help children realize they really did something wrong when they actually have to think about it.
