Here's a heartwarming story that will brighten even the dreariest of days: Maroon 5 recently surprised young Christopher Warner, a 10-year-old boy with Down syndrome who worships both the band and lead singer Adam Levine, with the sweetest meet and greet ever.

After Chris' teacher created a joyful video of her young student discussing his love for the Voice judge and his band, she got in touch with their local, D.C.-area radio station Hot 99.5, who immediately jumped at the chance to connect Maroon 5's biggest fan with the group.

"They arranged for backstage passes and tickets," Avery Stanert, Chris' teacher, told the TODAY Show. "They immediately called the record label and worked it all out."

After attending the band's concert on Monday (March 2), Chris -- along with his mom and several of his teachers -- finally got to meet Levine and the rest of the band face-to-face. But when the experience proved to be a little overwhelming and Chris tried to hide on the floor, Adam Levine immediately suggested that they all lie down on the floor next to him. As for the video that started it all, well, you can watch it below (and be sure to have a few tissues on hand).

"[Chris] has just been fascinated with Maroon 5 and especially Adam Levine," Stanert told TODAY. "He loves to listen to their music during work breaks. He draws pictures of them. He just absolutely loves them."

"We've been really happy to see how Down syndrome has gotten a lot of attention for this,” she continued. “Kids with Down syndrome are just like their peers."
