Last Minute Memorial Day Weekend Getaways

Memorial Day weekend sneaks up on me every year and usually by Wednesday I am reminded that this weekend is it! Lucky, when I lived in Seattle, I had a group of friends that every Memorial Day weekend would head to Lake Chelan for a quick getaway. We had the same camping spot on the same lake reserved the year prior so our plans were already well... planned, every year without fail.

This year is different however. I am new to Billings and have NO idea where to go. So, I decided to start asking around my office to find out where I could go with such a short notice.

Chico Hot Springs

Just a little over 2 hours from Billings and offers many lodging options, activities and of course the hot spring!

Fairmont Hot Spring Resort

3.5 hours to get to this gorgeous resort that offers golfing, activites and excursions, fine dining and hot springs. Lots of options for the whole family!

Yellowstone National Park
This one I know seems like an obvious but with the amount of lodging or camping and as big as the park it, you could have a really great time, even if it is last minute.

Glacier National Park
This one seems like a stretch because of the distance, but you won't be let down! I have been and it might be one of the prettiest places I have ever visited. From Billings it is about 6 hours but totally worth it.

Just passed Bozeman and only a 3 hour drive, this resort town has so many things to do you might need to make multiple trips! I am wanting to check this one out with weekend.
