We know that North West, who was born in June 2013, has an enviable closet, since her mother Kim Kardashian Instagrams photos of the high end, designer, wow-inducing clothes that fashion houses send her. But the Double K insists that her little girl has not worn any of the luxe threads…yet.

And it's for a practical and smart reason, actually!

"Kids get dirty," Kardashian tells PEOPLE. "She’ll spit up. She moves around so much. I saw this one cute dress that was $500 and I was like, ‘Absolutely not!’ I just want her in little onesies or leggings."

Mom even said her little one has style that is "simple, classic and really chic." All that, at under a year old!

It's amazing that Kim has such a non-fussy approach to her daughter's attire. Kim is a glamazon, but she understands that it's best to keep her daughter's duds streamlined so they don't get ruined.

Could you image spilling milk or strained carrots or mushy baby cereal all over Alexander Wang creations or Givenchy pieces?

Kim admitted that once North made her grand entrance into the world, her vision and perspective on dressing a baby changed. “I could tell what I thought was cute [before having North] but it’s such a different thing when you have a baby of your own,” she said. “I want soft fabrics and easy access to change a diaper.”

We love that Kim is a practical mommy.

The Kardashians are expanding their brand in Babies 'R' Us with a new Kardashian Kids line, which we can expect to see North sporting.
