One of pop music's biggest stars will be collaborating with one of country music's finest this June. Billboard reports that Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves will team up for the 'CMT Crossroads' series which will air June 13, 2014.

'CMT Crossroads' is CMT's TV series which pairs country artists with other artists outside of the genre. The Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves collaboration will be the show's 50th episode in the series. As part of the celebration, the episode will air also on sister Viacom channels MTV, VH1, MTV Hits and Palladia on future to-be-determined dates.

Perry tells Billboard, "From the moment I heard ‘Merry Go Round’ by Kacey Musgraves, I knew we were cut from the same songwriter’s cloth. I have been a fan and a friend of hers from the beginning, always championing her prolific songs every opportunity I get."

Musgraves remarks, "I've been such a HUGE fan of Katy and her vision since I found out about her. And since she's found out about me she's been an amazing light and friend to me. So, joining forces with her for Crossroads is going to be incredible."

Past 'Crossroads' collaborations include Keith Urban and John Mayer, Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum, and Dierks Bentley and One Republic.
