John Walsh from America’s Most Wanted Searches for Missoula Fugitive

The manhunt for dangerous fugitive David Burgert enters the national spotlight again this evening, just over 3-years after he attempted to ambush Missoula County Sheriff’s deputies near Lolo Pass.

It wasn’t the first time Burgert had a run-in with authorities. He had served time after getting into a stand-off with Flathead County authorities during his militia activities a few years before and is still considered to have a strong anti-government sentiment and be very dangerous.

Now, well-known fugitive hunter John Walsh is one more turning the spotlight on the Burgert case. He already profiled the chase during one of the final programs of “America’s Most Wanted”, and last night the case was featured on his new series “The Hunt” on CNN.
