While the Miami Heat and the Spurs face off during the NBA Finals game tonight, a new 'Guardians of the Galaxy' TV spot previewing the upcoming face-off between these outer-space bandits and Thanos' minions will be unleashed. Ahead of the big game, Marvel revealed the new look, so it's time to "send in the Guardians" and start getting revved for August.

The NBA Finals commence tonight (June 5) at 9 p.m. EST on ABC, and this new 'Guardians of the Galaxy' TV spot will air during the event. Filled with soundbites from Glenn Close's Nova Prime commanding her intergalactic team to enlist Chris Pratt's Star-Lord/Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana's assassin Gamora, Bradley Cooper's gunslinging Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel's tree-of-few-words Groot, and Dave Bautista's maniac Drax the Destroyer to face an "unstoppable threat," this latest look at Marvel's next (and ambitious) installment in their Cinematic Universe could be more thrilling than the actual basketball game. (It's blasphemy, we know).

UPDATE: In addition to this 30-second spot, director James Gunn revealed that another 60-second spot will also debut during the NBA Finals. Watch it now below.

Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' sees a team of unlikely figures teaming up to take on one of the galaxy's most dangerous threats yet -- Thanos (voiced by Josh Brolin and teased in the mid-credits scene to 'The Avengers') has sent his minions, Ronin the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Nebula (Karen Gillan), out to snatch a coveted orb in the possession of Star-Lord and his team, a mission that threatens the universe.

'Guardians of the Galaxy' will hit theaters this August 1.
