There's a lot of warm weather activities to enjoy here in Billings. One of my favorite ones is getting out there on a bicycle and enjoy exploring Billings and the trails that we have here. So if you're looking for some ideas on what trails to hit up this summer check out these recommendations from the website Bikenet.org.

Below are several suggested bike routes for you to enjoy here in Billings. We also have a cool PDF map of Billings that gives you a full view of the city with all the different roads, trails, and scenic areas of the city.


River Trail

Scenic ride along Yellowstone River, through several of Billings’ parks and historical areas.


The Marathon Loop

Approximately 26 miles, give or take, of hills and flats on a mix of trail, lane and roadways. Cyclists will be riding in traffic during part of this loop.

Zoo Loop

A gentle ride perfect for a weekend. Start at the top of Shiloh Road, go for a stroll at the zoo and head back through Lillis Park.


4.45 Miler

This is a 4.45 mi Bike Ride in Billings, MT. The Bike Ride has a total ascent of 118.11 ft and has a maximum elevation of 3,248.03 ft.
