Whoops! Looks like someone at the United States Environmental Protection Agency Office of Water was busy playing Kim Kardashian's hit game instead of working.

Earlier today, the official Twitter account for the U.S. EPA Office of Water accidentally tweeted a link to Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, the free-to-play mobile game that's become a hit ever since it was released earlier this summer.

The tweet from @EPAWater read, "I'm now a C-list celebrity in Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. Come join me and become famous too by playing on iPhone!"

It was shortly deleted afterwards, but not before everyone took notice, including the game's designer, Glu Games.

"Keep at it @EPAwater," they wrote, "you'll get there. #AList #WillowPapeIsTheWorst #KimKardashianGame"

The user of the EPAWater account apologized for the snafu and even tried to turn the accident into a positive.

"Whoops…our bad. Sorry about tweet. Upside - more attention for the Office of Water (http://water.epa.gov), thanks @KimKardashian"

USA Today reached out to the EPA about the incident and received this response: "An EPA fellow inadvertently triggered an auto-generated tweet. She regrets the error and has been advised on the sensitivities of using social media," said Liz Purchia, a spokeswoman for the EPA told the site in an e-mail.

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood has players doing various tasks, including dating celebrities and shopping in Beverly Hills, in order to move their characters up the Hollywood social ladder. The game is expected to rake in almost $200 million a year.
