This just doesn't sound good, or I guess I can't figure out why I would want one of my Facebook messages to erase after an hour? Facebook in an effort to copy Snapchat is experimenting with disappearing messages.

The feature, which can be activated by tapping an hourglass icon in the top right of the chat window, will allow people to send messages that automatically disappear after an hour.

This is an especially interesting move because Facebook allegedly once offered $3 billion to buy Snapchat. The offer was turned down – and now Facebook is pretty much copying the way Snapchat works here anyway. (Independent)
