Hot on the heels of the success of The CW's 'Arrow' television series comes the network's crack at another beloved DC superhero with their soon-to-premiere series 'The Flash.' Starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen (aka the fast-moving Flash), the new series spins off from 'Arrow,' but still promises to take the eponymous hero into a new direction -- you know, and quickly. The network has debuted a new teaser for the series at Comic-Con, and it's a fun and fresh look at what we can expect to see in the new series.

The teaser is certainly short, but it's packed with plenty of fun little nods to the classic characters we're about to meet in the new series -- just take a look at the billboard touting Palmer Technologies -- and some laughs to spare. If this is the kind of material and type of humor that the series is dabbling in, we're in for a treat.

Gustin will be joined in the series by Candice Patton as Iris West; Jesse L. Martin as Iris’s father, Detective West; Michelle Harrison as Barry’s mother Nora Allen; and even original 'The Flash' TV star John Wesley Shipp, who stars as Barry's dad.

Need more 'Flash' goodness? Take a look at our wrap-up of the Comic-Con 'Arrow' panel for some fun (and, yes, flashy) stuff.

'The Flash' debuts on The CW on October 7, and will air on Tuesdays this fall.
