Christina Aguilera lends her great big voice to the Great White Way in a somber but moving cover of "Anywhere But Here," from the Broadway musical Finding Neverland. Listen to the piano-led track in video up above.

The Voice coach’s version of the Gary Barlow and Elliot Kenndy song is actually pretty restrained by Aguilera standards, set to a gorgeous string section and piano. Of course, in true Xtina fashion, the song eventually soars with the help of her signature powerhouse vocals.

As previously reported, Finding Neverland: The Album will compile songs from the play — which is an adaptation of the 2004 film of the same name starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet — as reinterpreted by a laundry list of pop stars. "Anywhere But Here" joins other soundtrack contributions from Nick Jonas, Jennifer Lopez, Ellie Goulding, John Legend, Rita Ora and more. See the complete track list here. Finding Neverland: The Album will arrive in stores on June 9; you can pre-order yours now on iTunes.

Aside from “Anywhere But Here,” it’s been a little bit since we’ve heard new tunes from Aguilera. Last month, Aguilera traded in her larger-than-life pop confections for more country fare when she joined Rascal Flatts at the ACM Awards to perform “Shotgun” — from her turn on the ABC drama, Nashville — and Flatts’ most recent single, “Riot.”
