Billings Police Make Arrest in Armed Robberies
Over the last week and a half there have been seven armed robberies in Billings three of which were convenience stores.The two that started the string of robberies off was on the early morning hours of December 4th. Then two adult book store robberies occurred a couple of days later.
The first one occurred at about 4 a.m. at the Holiday Store on South Billings Boulevard on December 4th and then an hour later another armed robbery happened at the Town Pump on King Avenue West. At the time of the second robbery, Billings Police were investigating the South Billings Boulevard crime.
In both crimes the suspect entered the stores wearing winter clothing and held up the clerks with a black hand gun. Earlier this week a photo was released to the media and today the arrest of Joshua Boyd Harris was made by Billings Police. Boyd is 25 and could face two felony counts of robbery and one count of tampering with evidence.
Earlier this week, December 11th there were three armed robberies on the same day. The Short Stop at 8th and Central was robbed at gun point that afternoon at 3:48 p.m.. That suspect has been described as medium build and carrying a black hand gun.
Papa John’s on 24th and Subway at 10th and Central were robbed that night with-in 30 minutes of each other. That suspect was described as a black man, 250 pounds, with a large black hand gun. He remains on the loose.
