Independence Day is only one week away and if you don't have your plans figured out yet, that's okay! I've got a list of things to do right here in the Billings area.  Since I am new to the area and haven't spent a summer here yet, I have had to do some research on what the best things there are to do. Here's what I found:

  • Castle Rock Park- Freedom Fireworks and Freedom Run sponsored by Harvest Church. There will be a 5k run/walk earlier in the day and then activities for the whole family starting at 5pm. Fireworks are set to go off at dark. Free event for the whole family! Find more details HERE.
  • Laurel- pancake breakfast, kids parade, grand parade, all day activities, food and booths at the park and the biggest fireworks display in the state of Montana. You can't beat that! Festivities start at 6am in downtown Laurel. Click HERE for more info!
  • Roundup- Independence Days Extravaganza is a 3-day long party and just a short drive from Billings. Rodeo, concerts, parade, 5k and much more! Get more information HERE.
  • Red Lodge- bring on the rodeo fun! Three full days of Home of The Champions Rodeo all beginning at 6pm. Plus, each day has a theme. July 2nd in kids day, July 3rd is Mining and Agricultural Appreciation Day and July 4th is the traditional Independence Day. There are also parades each day and fun for the whole family. Get your details HERE.

Have a happy and safe Independence Day from all of us here at PopCrush 97.1!
