Above the Rim 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament is Back in Billings

Big Sky Ballin' and Townsquare Media in Billings is getting ready for the Third Annual Above the Rim 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Aug. 7-9. 

What started out in 2013 as a few teams getting together to shoot hoops, has turned into a huge even over the past three years.

The Above the Rim 3 on 3 tournament this year is named "All Star Weekend" as Big Sky Ballin' has secured rookie NBA star, Zach La Vine from the Minnesota Timberwolves to visit Billings. He will hold a basketball camp for kids on Friday before the competition begins.

The camp with Zach La Vine will be held at Alterowitz Gym on the MSU-B campus on Friday, Aug. 7. There is a lot of interest in learning the skills from La Vine so register your kids, ages 7-17 early for $129 per person.  Lunch will be served.

On Saturday, Aug. 8 more than 300 teams will compete in boys, girls, men and women age groups. You can also come and watch as we add to the 5,000-person fan base.

The Above The Rim tournament will be held outdoors at the Shrine Auditorium parking lot beginning at 8 a.m. on the 8th with the championship rounds being played on Sunday, Aug. 9.

Awards will be handed out at the end of the tournament.  The cost for your team to play in the tournament is $149.  Register online now.
